National Anthem Mandatory before Film Screening-SC

national-anthem-mandatory-before-film-screeningSupreme Court of India Yesterday passed an order to directing all Cinema theatres all over India to play our National Anthem prior to the start of the movie. It also SC wants everyone in the cinema halls to stand up during National Anthem as a mark of respect.

The Court also ordered to movie theaters The National Flag to appear on the silver screen when the National Anthem is played. Supreme court Justice Dipak Misra and Amitava Roy opined that every citizen of India must feel this is my country and this is my motherland. The SC Bench also maintained that no individual or any person is not allowed to take commercial benefits by playing National Anthem. Bench also clarifies that, ‘Neither the National Anthem be Dramatized nor it should be printed on undesirable objects. And It can’t be played at variety shows’.

SC asked Central Government to implement its order within a week’s time by alerting all the States and Union Territories through State chief secretaries. Specific directions were given to show the order in all electronic and print media.
