Comedy King Allari Naresh, has been struggling without a proper hit from
quite a while. He is now back with yet another comedy entertainer in Jump
Jilani. Directed by E Sattibabu, this film has Naresh in a double role. Isha
Chawla and Swati Dixit are the female leads in this film, which has released
today. Let’s see whether Jump Jilani gives Naresh a much needed hit.
Story:-
Sattiababu (Allari Naresh) is a young hotel owner in Nidadavole, who is
trying hard to save his ancestral hotel from going out of business. To save his hotel from shutting down, he decides to lure Madhavi(Isha
Chawla), a health inspector, with the help of his twin brother Ram Babu(Allari
Naresh).
Even Madhavi is impressed with Sattibabu’s sincerity and falls in love with
him. Twist in the tale arises when Madhavi’s grandfather(M S Narayana) gets her
engaged to Ugra Narasimha Reddy (Posani Krishna Murali), a powerful faction
leader in Pulivendala. What will Sattibabu do now ? Will he go to the faction ridden areas to win
his love ? What happens to his hotel ? How will the brothers get it out of
problems ? For answers to all these questions, you need to watch the film on
the big screen
As expected Allari Naresh does his usual best in this film too. The way he
goes about his two characters look honest on screen. Without doubt, the major plus point of the film is Posani Krishna Murali. It is his role which gives a breather to the film. Though he enters only
during the second half, he makes the most of it. Both the heroines look equally
good and play their part wonderfully. A funny chase involving all comedians during the second half, has been
designed well. Tagubothu Ramesh, Jaya Prakash Reddy and Raghu Babu do their best in their roles. The second half of the film is where the actual action begins and makes
things interesting. The way the story and some funny situations have been
designed is pretty good. The entire first half of the movie is way too slow. The original
entertainment takes for ever to begin, and one has to go through the tedious
first half to start enjoying this film.
Pace of the film and unnecessary scenes spoil the fun completely. Even a
seasoned actor like Naresh looks out of place because of the routine and stale
comedy. He is the only anchor of the film, but even he carries the extra burden
of two roles.
The movie has yet another Seema backdrop, which is becoming quite stale in
movies these days. The only difference here is, instead of Jaya Prakash Reddy, you get to see Posnai Krishna Murali
in a major role. What ever you get to see in the trailers, in the only fun you see in the
theatres too. Length of the movie is way too long and takes for ever to finish.
Climax gets confusing with too many characters coming in and out of the
film. An unnecessary song breaks out of no where in the climax and makes things
even worse. Music of the film is decent, and all the songs have been executed and shot
pretty well. Camera work is very good and shows the Nidudavolu rural areas in
good light.
Screenplay of the film is quite clichéd, as a number of major scenes have
been repeated from some yesteryear hit films.
The makers could have easily parted with many routine comedy scenes in the
first half.
Though director E Sattibabu has chosen to remake a Tamil hit, he took a
major risk by opting Naresh in two roles. Though Naresh does well in both these
roles, he lacks the necessary padding which is generally given by other
comedians.
Those actors shown and the comedy designed, in quite old and does now evoke
much laughter. Some how the director failed to hold on to the film tightly, and
makes it far too stretchy. Dialogues written for Naresh are pretty much OK and have mouthed well by him
too. Editing is quite OK and so is the background score.
On the whole, Jump Jilani is a film which is all over the place. Routine
comedy, stale performances and excessive length, spoil the fun in this tried
and tested out formula. Those who like Allari Naresh, and love watching some
over the top routine entertainment can give this film a try
