Kavacham Movie Review

Cast: Bellamkonda Sai Sreenivas, Kajal, Mehreen Kaur, Neil Nitin Mukesh, Harshavardhan Rane, Mukesh Rushi, Posani Krishna Murali, Satyam Rajesh, Venu and Others.

Bellamkonda Sai Sreenivas is able to feature in high-budget ventures that were beyond his market range irrespective of the poor track record. Though the investment on 'Kavacham' wasn't as huge as any of his previous films, Good production values have been maintained for this Cop Flick directed by Debutante Sreenivas Mamilla. What could it offer?

Vijay (Bellamkonda Sreenivas) is a sincere police office in Vizag. He saves Samyuktha (Mehreen) from a danger. Thereafter, Samyuktha assists Vijay when his Mother was fighting for her life. This is when Vijay gets framed in a kidnapping case. How did he attains the clean chit forms rest of the story..!

Bellamkonda Sreenivas maintained the physique required while playing the role of a cop. Nothing much improvement can be seen in his acting prowess. He should seriously work on his Voice & Dialogue Delivery.

Although both the Actresses played key roles, There isn't much scope for them to perform but they made their presence felt with glamorous avatars.

Screen Presence of Neil Nitin Mukesh is good. Harshavardhan Rane is okay. Posani is alright. None of the other Actors leave an impact.

After praise worthy effort for 'Aravindha Sametha', SS Thaman went back to his old school to deliver a routine album. None of the Songs are good enough to make people start humming. Nothing special about Background Score as well. Theme Music preferred for the hero elevation scenes might enthrall the masses. Production Values are rich just alike any other film of Bellamkonda. At times, Audience get the feeling why so much money has been spent by the Producer. Sreenivas Mamilla failed to do justice to the Thriller genre. Refreshing presentation movie lovers expect from a Debutante Director gone missing completely. Screenplay could have been much better.

Analysis:  Punch Dialogues in Trailer of 'Kavacham' gives an impression how the movie would be like. This Cop Flick is no different from what movie buffs has envisioned. For Films in Thriller Genre, Any Hero will have to refrain from unnecessary build-ups and regular hero-elevation scenes. These days, Even Top Heroes aren't hesitating to ignore their image to get into the skin of the character. Unfortunately, Bellamkonda Sreenivas seems to be banking on hero-elevation irrespective of genre.

Debutante Director Sreenivas Mamilla has done enough homework during the scripting stage to include good twists & turns. He, however, messed completely when it comes to the presentation. Arousing the curiosity among viewers is crucial for any Thriller. In the case of 'Kavacham', Audience doesn't experience such moments due to the outdated narration.

Be it any thriller, Story has to begin from the first scene itself and every sequence should have a connection to the basic plot. Whereas. 'Kavacham' begins with hero-elevation and it's loaded with unnecessary build-ups which arrive in regular intervals. Forced inclusion of Songs & Fights irritate the viewers.

Audience start connecting with the actual story only with the Interval Twist.  Stop bothering about logic to watch a film like 'Kavacham'. Twists n Turns in the Second Half are good but the gripping screenplay & thrills needed for a thriller went missing. Too many subplots led to confusion and more runtime. Romantic Track, Songs and Fights have been more like speed-breakers. Dealing a Thriller in Commercial Format doesn't work. That's the biggest flaw of 'Kavacham'.
